    THE GOOD
    • Old-time, slobber-knockin' LSU goal line stand
    • Speedy receivers were getting open.
    • The punter hangs them up HIGH. Sometimes high and long.
    • Punt and kick coverage teams look sharp
    • Holiday looks like he can be an effective third RB
    • Defense seemed fired up and ready to play

    THE BAD
    • Jefferson still has not demonstrated an SEC-caliber downfield passing capability.
    • Speedy receivers were dropping passes
    • We are still getting no significant pass rush from the DL
    • Missed tackles are still a problem
    • Offense seemed to be flat and uninspired

    THE UGLY
    • Ciron Black gets his 3rd drive-killing penalty in 3 games.
    • The OL is getting beat inside and failing to open significant holes
    • Jefferson's pocket is too small and collapses too quickly.

    The Ugly

I see no change in defensive scheme. We are still soft zone 75% of the time. We were getting blocked consistently by what was probably the worst oline we will play against. This is scary.

We could not block what was probably the worst defensive line we will see all year. No time to throw, no holes for the backs. This is even more scary.

It did appear that Chavis added two new blitzes to the scheme last night. The LB blitz, where Cutrera somehow completely missed the QB. What?

And the corner blitz where Peterson was just a half step too late.

USL's O-Line is the best we've seen so far. They are experienced and better than you give them credit for.

    They weren't especially undersized, either.

I'd bet I can go back and find a post where you trashed the Huskies too.

Yes, that was cool. It was a new blitz, and Peterson looked just disappointed enough that he didn't get the nasty sack that I don't think he'll miss in the future. I imagine he can just taste laying that sick hit on Cox or McElroy or Snead or TEBOW.
