We finally put together a complete game. Yes, AU is pretty bad, but we've played other "pretty bad" teams too closely this year. Last night was domination from opening kickoff to the last tick of the clock. As was mentioned over and over by Bob Davey last night, we are a team that is starting to peak. Make no mistake, we are peaking at the right time. Tulane will feel our wrath next week, and Alabama may not even really see us coming. Alabama has scored ONE offensive TD in the last two weeks. That's a trainwreck waiting to happen against a Tiger D that has found itself. We're hitting hard and getting to the QB now. We're continuing to cause turnovers. Our offense is coming together, and JJ is becoming an experienced, though still very young, QB. This game was, in fact, pivotal. Many of us here were worried that a lackluster performance, or heaven forbid, a loss would take us on a downward spiral the likes of which we've not seen since...last year. And the DiNardo era. On the flip side of that, a dominating performance would indicate that this team truly DOES control its destiny and is still a major player in the run for the SECC and the NC. We dominated. The team that buried GT came out to play last night. There's still room for improvement. I think we'll still improve. Can Alabama and Florida believe that THEY haven't peaked, though? Is Florida really missing a playmaker like Harvin? Yes. Is McElroy really looking like he lacks experience? Yes. We're in the driver's seat and taking the wheel.
In that case you can list the play of Patrick Peterson as bad because he's gone after next year, 1st round pick lock.
The good: completely dominating Auburn; seeing so many sad faced Auburn fans; Jefferson's improvement. THe bad: still can't run block; drop too many passes; where is Richard Dickson? The ugly: leaving so many points on the field, this game could've easily been 50-3.
