I am not giving up yet but I will NEVER EVER turn down free Magic tickets to watch the Saints again...
That's a fascinating question that probably deserves its own thread. I don't understand this either. My favorite teams are varying degrees of not good. The Texans are understandably average, and I take no pleasure in their failures. The Fins are unusually bad, but I find no joy in pointing out just how bad they've gotten. I'd rather focus on how they can get better, though that's a heckuva bad thing to ponder right now.
I watched it on TV but turned down going to it to watch the Saints. I am now quite positive that the Saints could have lost without me.
. . . and as you make your way through life, you'll find yourself finding many other things to do rather than watch the Saints.
Anyone who's a fan of the Saints knows what they're getting before the season starts- you hope to make the playoffs and, at the most, one win in 'em. It's no revelation that The Saints Suck. For a team founded in '67, and it taking 33 years to win their FIRST playoff game and in 40+ years, having never, and will most likely never, play in a Superbowl. Their fans put bags on their heads and attend games but still pay for the tickets so Bitchy Boy Benson doesn't need to worry about winning so much, just a carrott now and then. Saints fans deserve whatever they grief they get- I can more easily understand being a UL fan than a Saints.
You lost me at this point. I can't think of anything USL can be proud of. At least the Saints can be proud of the fact that...wait a minute...hold on, it'll come to me...I know I saw bumper stickers about it as recently as three years ago....OH YEA! NFC WEST CH-CHAMPS! 1991!
