That's my BIGGEST problem with the Saints. They have had a secondary problem since the late Mora years and have never addressed it in the offseason. Ditka, Haz, and now Payton have refused to see that. It's absolutely mindboggling. I still think Payton is a good coach too. Cause Saints teams of the past would never have come back from 0-4 to get to 4-4. They would have given up on the season. What pisses me off is that the Saints really only have 2 losses, they gave the other 3 away. That's been their MO forever.
I thought we were trying to address the secondary with getting David. It's obvious now that he was an extraordinarily bad pick-up. I was disappointed when we went WR in the draft with so many needs, but I just think the roster moves have been more good than bad since Haslett left. I'm hoping we pick up a CB in the first round this year, that's for sure.
They have my support, too. I was a young boy when the Saints played their first season in 1967. You shouldn't get too upset with those Saints fans who seem like "bad" fans, because fans express their frustrations in different ways. I admire those Saints fans who have followed the team closely for the past 40years without ever getting disgusted and fed up with them. To both of you, I say: I SALUTE YOU, AND, I'M CONFIDENT THAT YOU WILL BE RELEASED FROM PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALIZATION IN NO TIME. :hihi:
To the fans wearing the black and gold glasses, you still think the Saints are on their way up? Yet again, the Aints give away another game. Looks like Haslett part 2.
Dark Hornet: You have a child. THINK OF THE CHILD, MAN!! I beg you. Step away from the Saints while there's still time.:bncry: :bncry:
I'll say that it looks like I was wrong about this team to this point. However, I also came to a realization about why the comments earlier irked me so much. While I think this team is pretty damn bad right now, I get no enjoyment by proclaiming their inadequacies. Not a flame, a serious question. Why do those who claim to be fans get so much enjoyment by posting how pathetic their team is? We see it on occasion in regards to LSU on this board, and we certainly see it with the Saints. It kills me to see my team being outplayed, I don't see why others seem to revel in it. In regards to the Haslett part II comment, that may very well be the case. I'm hoping you're wrong right now though.
It's like being divorced to a wife of 40 years. You always loved her but you just can't live with her.
