Can't disagree with any of that. Very good points. The Jason & Jason show in the secondary has got to end if this team wants to be successful.
These are not the comments of a true fan. These are the comments of a bandwagoner. If this teams sucks so bad, then don't get back on when they get on another roll and steamroll into the playoffs. Fairweather fans pi** me off. :cuss:
This was a poor performance. You know what? They are still just one game under .500 and still only a game back in the divison. This season is not dead by any stretch. It's obvious there's still some work to do. But like TigerFan23 said, the Rams had something to prove today, and they wanted it more. They are not a terrible team. They are not the Dolphins, or the Falcons, or the Jets. They have good talent and have not played their best. The Rams today played near a flawless game. The Saints will come back next week, and hopefully get back to .500 after beating the Texans. We'll see where it goes from there, but there's no reason to jump ship.
The NFC South and AFC West should let the division winners play and give them sort of special title before the real playoffs start. Therefore, no on will have to watch them ruin the real playoffs.
The wonderful thing about the NFL (and every other sport besides I-A college football for that matter) is public opinion is meaningless.
And what is even better than that is, I have a new remote with working batteries to shield my eyes.
I was there and it sucked. But the officiating was atrocious with at least 2 horrible calls going against the Saints in the 4th. And the clock guy was starting the clock after players ran out of bounds before the refs had reset the ball. Suffice it to say even though we played horribly we still could've won the game and the Rams offense is actually pretty good with a healthy Bulger and Jackson.
the defensive problems can easily be documented, as the Saints want to always draft D-lineman or inactive receivers instead of d-backs, but does anyone here get really annoyed with how Drew Brees refused to take a sack? I noticed it the 1st 4 games and it reared it's head again today. When the blitz gets to him, instead of just checking down or taking his lumps, he just kinda forces up the long ball. that was a knock on him in San Diego, and it has reared its head so far this year. he is the best in the NFL with time to throw, but one of the worst in the NFL with pressure in his face.
I agree with this assessment. I will take it a step further. I don't think there is a QB in the NFL today with as much of a difference in play when it comes to being pressured vs having time to throw. The weakness in his arms shows up big time.
