Just when they get your hopes up, they knock you back down to reality. This team really SUCKS. To get your @ss handed to you at home to a winless team is pathetic. How in the hell is Jason David on the 53 man roster. I bet Dungy and co. send Payton a christmas card this year saying thanks for taking that piece of chit. Plus Payton's playcalling is back to being crap. On 3rd and 2 then again on 4th and 2, he calls two running plays. He didn't have this team ready at all. This team will not come close to making the playoffs.
Yep. I'm so happy that the Saints passed on drafting Terrance Newman and Derrick Strait. That really paid off. Looks like the old Saints, who were back at the beginning of this year, have come back once again.
I guess I should be glad they're not on TV here in Houston. I've got the play-by-play updates from ESPN open on my computer.
I am not jumping off any bandwagon. I am keeping my friend company that lost her husband and the game isn't on tv. So I don't know the score or if we won. Hadn't jumped off the bandwagon in 30 years not going to start this season! Trust me this isn't the worse season I have endured with the saints!
Bemoaning a piss-poor performance does not indicate a lack of support. Looks like the offense finally woke up. But that secondary is pathetic.
I guess I was pointing more towards the comment that this team will not make the playoffs. Here's the way I look at it: St. Louis comes in this game winless, badly needing a win. Jim Haslett has a score to settle against his old team (and he seems to be doing a damn good job of settling it). The Rams aren't a bad team, they've just gotten some unlucky breaks all year. Bottomline, our secondary is absolutely horrible. Jason David just shouldn't be on the field, ever. McKenzie has been grossly overrated since he came here. Unfortunately, the offense gets put in a position where they feel they have to do too much. Brees has made some boneheaded decisions, but then again, his pass protection hasn't been stellar all game. Look folks, we'll turn this around. The last four games are completely indicative of that. It's hard to win 5 games in a row in the NFL. There is still plenty of football left to be played. I do think Payton needs to quit with the cheesy motivational ploys with the team as well. Get rid of the funerals, bandwagons, mouse traps, and all that nonsense.
