Honestly it has little to do with AJ or Delahoussaye and more to do with not trusting kickers not named Vinatieri in general. A 50 yard kick is a pretty long kick and you start to a higher percentage of misses from that range. I'd feel much safer within 40. I also feel you have to trust your QB to make a play, even if you have full trust in your kicker making a 50yarder.
Thats what some say, more should wear the P&G glasses like I do. Just how bad was our OL and DL in that game?
There wasn't time to move it another 10 yds. Are you kidding me! Lucky to get the 10 seconds back at all but to think that Less could possibly manage that type of an undertaking is special. Now what does bother me is I'm hearing he asked Colby where he wanted it and the reply was "anywhere but the right hash" and then they run it right to set it up on the right hash.
Two more to add to "The Good" 13. Latroy Pittman, the UF player who was carted off the field after Jefferson's interception is apparently OK. 14. The LSU team's reaction to Pittman's injury.....Gator folks were impressed. Here are two letters that have appeared on Facebook today:
No, I watched us getting curb-stomped for the better part of three and a half quarters, then I saw Mullen and MSU just about crapping themselves feeling the game slip away from them. As @LSUDad has said, had the game been one minute longer, we'd have won it.
Another reason to be glad Les is the LSU coach...he has a decency that is shared with the team and we are all better for it.
