    I know this is nothing but a crazy conspiracy. Fill in the gaps.

    ESPN had the power to decide who would be #2.

    They knew the game would get low ratings if it were Bama and all-SEC but when ahead anyway.

    They knew how easy revenge would be for the team that lost the first time.

    They knew how much a wrench that throws in the picture of the season, and how the momentum has been building for a plus one.

    They knew a plus one really means more money in the long run. (and they have veto process over the whole format)

    Thats all they needed to know.

    Isn't the most likely path to scratching the current system going to be a game like we had Monday?

    I just believe if LSU won there would be much less of a chance to change to a playoff system, and that's exactly the change ESPN wanted. Disorder was necessary first.

    ESPN can forever kiss my ass. They need to stick to showing highlights and quit manufacturing "news". Totally out of control and far too much influence
