I used to think it was extremely difficult to have an SEC team in the BCS championship game because of the number of tough games week in and week out. Given that we've had this incredible 5 year stretch along with a few questionable calls favoring the undefeated team, I've wondered why the national media hasn't made it a story (even if nothing to it). The SEC obviously wants one of their teams in the championship game (also helps get a 2nd team in one of the other BCS bowls). That's a lot of millions at stake. Fortunately even if this conspiracy theory had any truth to it, the matchup on Nov 5th would not be impacted since both teams are undefeated.
