Yes I saw that Brad Edwards did a hypothetical BCS game on the BCS Countdown where LSU wins out and the BCS takes a 1-loss Bama team as an At-Large bid. If everyone else keeps losing then the re-match seems like a SURREAL POSSIBILITY.
I agree with you. I think LSU gets a safety (just a hunch) and think LSU is the better team, especially with everyone back. I don't see a blow out (but would love to,) but LSU wins this one pretty convincingly. Just hope they don't get too big for their britches with Arkansas (and probably Georgia in the SEC championship coming up (and a possible trap game with Ole Miss.) This team really seems to rise to the occasion though. :geauxtige :miles:
I don't really care who we play in the dome for the championship, I just know that the more games the other top teams lose the better off we are. I want to be unbeaten but just on case...........
LMTO, I agree with you also about Ar kansas, Ole Miss, I dunno, I think we could still win that one with a trap game!
With a little time to sober up and calm down I am ready to make a call now. Bama is a very good team and extremely consistent. Richardson and Lacy are a solid tandem in the backfield, but they will not run all over us like some people think. Our secondary smothers receivers and forces turnovers on a regular basis. I think our offense just has too many weapons for Bama's defense to run their normal schemes, and that will give them fits. LSU 27 Bama 17
It's impossible for me to call this game. I think if it's a defensive slugfest, low-scoring and close, then Bama's home field advantage gives them the win. But if turns into a high-scoring shootout, I think LSU takes it.
Turnovers and field position will be the deciding factors. These clearly favor LSU. We will jump out early, they will make a run, but we will fend em off like we have all year long...
Turnover margin jumps out at me. What is LSU now? +16? At some point we take the ball away and get the three that will be all the difference in the game.
Jlee gets pressured for the first time all year, reverts to his old ways. Throws a few picks and we lose by 20.
