SO, if JJ continues to get better and become a complete QB, I don't see him not starting. With that said, what will Shepard's role be next year? The only way I see JJ not starting is to have a mental break down and go backwards, something I don't see happening. My guess is a 2 QB thing. What do yall think?
RS did not warm up with QBs last night! He was in with the WR's ! I don't see RS ever being a QB in the SEC! :helmet:
Me either. He needs to be Percy Harvin all over again. And be happy doing so. Lots of kids can be QB's, guys like Shep and Percy are much more rare, and much more valuable IMO.
To me Sheppard will not be an SEC quarterback. If he had gone to the Big East, yes, but not in the SEC. He will be an explosive weapon playing in the slot and in the backfield.
Bingo. Harvin just made a great catch and run for a TD against GB. I can see RS becoming that kind of player.
Well, Sheppard would have a hard time transitioning from LB to QB this late in his college career...but there was another #11 who had a good chance to be an SEC star QB...he blew it though. - Just messin' with ya', though. I agree...Shepard's future is not at QB.
I swear I read that Shepard is no longer even practicing with the QBs.. and we'll be much better for it.
I agree. I think his greatest talent so far displayed is his speed. I would rather him be a GOOD running back for LSU and start three seasons than a GREAT QB that has to wait three years before he cane start:tigereye:
He hasn't been warming up with them for a while, but if you watch, at the part of warmups where the o lines up with half a line and hands off to the backs, he is always in the endzone throwing the football with an asst coach. Also when he does this the rest of the team is lined up across the field like a shield keeping the other team from seeing him.
