McCarty was not fired for his coaching performance, it was his shady recruiting practice.
Porter was hired as HC of Memphis. Miles still wanted him here to help with the offense.

 

West Coast, if you lost faith in LSU, go find another program to support. You are welcome back when you get upset with them. It's your life. Why stay unhappy if you hate LSU so much?

i'm a double digit poster (barely) because few subjects cause me to feel the need to post. watching the tigers lose a game in the usual fashion i've come to expect from miles has made me feel the need. btw i hate tigerdroppings and prefer this board to it.

 

Never been to tigerdroppings and don't plan to visit the site. You are right about one thing, I don't post very often. But when I see the program heading in the wrong direction and IMHO I do believe it is headed in the wrong direction I do "come out of the wood work". Not to bitch and moan however, but to state facts.

actually they probably are just as good and likely better than Miles. from what ive seen Miles is middle of he road SEC calibre at best. We won the NC in 07 but we havent dominated anyone except a few OOC teams since the one that must not be named left.

but Miles will probably get another year to right this ship, and he might do it. so for now I will stand behind him and give him the benifit of the doubt. next season will say alot about how much longer he has. I say if they go 9- X and play like this year. He better think samsonite. If we go 9-X and look dam good I can see keeping him. My opinion is if you get 10 wins, you can do it ugly. Anything less than 10 and you better be able to hang your hat on some refferee screwing you or some Over time loss etc... thats not to say that a 9 win season is bad. to the contrary it is very good, but it would be nice to do it right... not struggle through the wins...

Miles can make it right he just needs to do what is necessary. Recruit an O line, develop the players from the LOS then worry about the horses. And finally get assistants that KNOW how to run an offense.

he may never be as great as the bama snake but some people are great by surrounding themselves with talented assitants. I think Miles is just such a guy.

next year will be the test. I think he is up to the task, we know he will fire folks.

 

John I just have to ask....WTF made you king man. If somebody wants to gripe, bitch or vent over what is certainly frustrating all of us...who are you to tell them to go find another team. I see you way that crap on thread after thread....enough man. How old are you? Do you feel that your post count entitles you to tell other people to get lost. C'mon man. Be a Tiger fan. We all bleed P&G. If you don't like what someone says, you don't have to agree with them but you sure don't need to be telling people to go find another team because they complain about what we all see as a very frustrating situation. I have been a Tiger fan for a very long time. I know these have been some great years under Miles, but if average folks like us can see the obvious mistakes and personnel issues....why can't our coaches?:miles:
