Lots of folks saying lots of good things about Kendell Beckwith. http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/6793215-123/is-kendell-beckwith-lsus-next
I spoke with a Alabama Alum over the phone recently who I personally like & believe to be an important figure with the Crimson Tide. (a few days ago) We were both cordial as we always are. I learned during the course of our conversation, couched in 'politeness' they the Crimson really are quite worried about the LSU match in 2013. I was not certain he was sincere until yesterday when he he emailed me a return note but the response restated his concern / determination to defeat LSU in 2013. Originally I emailed him to compliment the efforts regarding the current appearance of Jordan Hare Stadium which is beautiful.
Not sure how you can get higher praise than 5th year senior, team captain and #18 saying this to the press about you as a true freshman: “The first thing that popped into my mind was ‘Freak,’ ” Barrow said. “We’ve got a freak already. He’s almost the second coming.” “I’ve never see a guy that size that can move that well,” Barrow said of Beckwith. “He’s doing a great at linebacker right now. I think the future is very bright for him.” “The way he runs — when he first got here on campus, I said, ‘This kid can’t be that big moving that well,’ ” Barrow said. "It will be real hard to keep him off the field.”
and our senior RB who goes up against him: “He’s fast,” running back Alfred Blue said. “When he ran his 40, I couldn’t believe how fast he was moving.”
The Freak: "Kendell’s going to be a (all-time) great linebacker" Trai Turner: “He’s going to be a (devastating) force to be reckoned with,” Turner said.
Like I said, the guy could play a number of positions on both sides of the ball. He'll be in on every Special Teams unit. Too much talent. LB, DE, TE, F/H Back, WR.
That reminds me, I need to email my buddy who's a Georgia fan and compliment them about how awesome Neyland Stadium is
