The modern era of 64 teams ?that didnt start until 85 The ncaa tournament started in 1939,so LSU's lone national championship came pre -ncaa tourney and it is one of those mythical titles we get on the bama football fans for.LSU does claim it, but it is based on polls,not a tourney. there were 16 teams when lsu went to the final four in 1953,and 48 or 54 when lsu went in 1981. I didnt feel like counting them all,but it isn't the 64 team bracket ...LSU got a first round bye since they were a #1 seed so do we get to take lsu's 2 losses off the 81 team off the list since that is not from the modern era of basketball?

I don't recall saying Anything about the Streak God's or a single Streak God,However,do you think it is possible that the players for LSU last night could have a heard at least once over the last week "hey ,You guys havent one a game in the final four?or Is this the final four where you finally win a game? Is this the year you break the string of Final Four losses . Do you think that has the game gets late it a least creeps in to some of the players heads that things just don't go our way in these final four things? Same thing the other way in baseball...we make it to the college world series championship ...our players just know...we aint gonna lose. seem to have a little streak started in football also.

I posted this thread for a touch of something positive on an otherwise LOUSY situation...thanks for those who tried to keep it upbeat. And for those of you who turned this into a mini ESPN...where I have to hear about how Fowles didn't own Parker (24 points vs 13; 20 rebounds vs 15; blocked 5 of Parkers shots; scored even when parker was clotheslining her;etc;etc) and how we blew it again, way to go. Way to state the freaking obvious captain geniuses. I was only trying to find SOMETHING to feel good about. Do you want to put fire ants in my boxer shorts now too???? :nope:
