Did you see the interview with Miles before the start of the second half? The reporter asked him about Lee and he said one of the interceptions wasn't really Lee's fault and the recievers were dropping passes. He has full confidence in him. The next question was are you going to play JJ, his reply was I don't know we've been talking about it. The recievers are obviously aggrivated with Lee you can see the frustration. They are not on the same page, and the only time they want to play for him is when they are fired up and carrying momentum. I'm not sure if it was on this thread but someone mentioned that all Jefferson did was hand off during the Tulane game and least he knows how to do that because Hatch doesn't. This doesn't say a lot for coaching they have known for a long time Perilloux would not be here to start and no one is ready to step up because the coaching staff couldn't make a decision to stick with one player and prepare him. No one knows what Jefferson could have done and thats where all the questions come into play, but whats the worst he would have done thrown 5 interceptions.

Lee could possibly end up being a heck of a QB or this season of abuse could just as easily or even easier destroy his game mentally which is what is seeming to happen. Now, you've taken the risk with one talented freshman QB why would you want to throw another one to the wolves so to say against Bama? JJ will get his chance, but to yank a QB out of the game after he does something bad is the wrong thing to do.

Qb's throw a pick and are supposed t forget the bad play. If you bench one afterwards how much damage are you doing to him mentally?

Lee is going to be all right mentally. In his interviews after each game he definitely says all the right things and still has self confidence. What is in question is if he will start to understand how to play the position. He has shown little to no improvement. I'm not worried about his mental state nearly as much as I'm worried about his lack of development. He is young as has been discussed and he has lots of time to improve. The problem is the team needs him to be improved now.
