Everyone Has a*Plan... - And The Valley Shook you have got to read this! Here is a quote from the article, These are all errors of aggression, and Miles seems okay with that.* Players don't get in trouble at LSU for being TOO aggressive.* They get rewarded.* Sure, Mingo might miss contain, but he's also a terror against pocket quarterbacks.* And the team has faith that someone else will plug the hole, usually Brandon Taylor.* *Talk about unsung heroes.* The guy has completely earned the #18 jersey.* Usually, it's a bad thing when your safety has so many tackles, but with LSU, it's Taylor just covering for everyone else flying to the ball.* It's like he's the lone adult playing with a bunch of kids hopped up on speed.* He's the guy who has got to be responsible, allowing everyone else to just go crazy whenever they feel like it.* He's quietly the Defensive MVP.* There is no Honey Badger without his Responsible Babysitter picking up after him.*
I like it personally... They fail to include several positives about LSU, but I would have to agree with most all of that, especially the best player on the field part.
EXCELLENT! I was reading the ESPN predictions just a minute ago, and one of them says that the game "could come down to Special Teams, Field Position" and then he picks 'Bama 23-20. My thought was that if the game came down to special teams and field position, you would probably give the edge to LSU with what we have shown this year and Brad Wing. The analysis of the game hasn't been good, especially from most 3rd party sources. If you do a fair analysis and still conclude that Bama wins, I'm ok with that, but your analysis needs to back your conclusion, not the opposite.
Looking at things objectively I get Bama being a favorite since they are at home. Plus they are a great team. I do agree that a lot of the shows Ive watched dont seem to be giving LSU much respect. But thats how I like it.
Well my only thought is that our special teams are the best in college football not this year but every year. Look at all the first downs we have on fake field goals and punts. Then look at the last few punters and Field Goal Kickers we have had with great success. I know I am drinking the purple and gold here but who has better special teams play? I'd really like to know!
i like to think lsu will win because of playmakers and playcalling, but i cant help but think about what happens when lsu plays an equally-talented team that doesnt fcuk up.
Well .. even the "experts" agree ... LSU wins that battle hands down. Alleman is a better, longer FG kicker and Wing is just out of this world when it comes to punting. A cool thing they said about Wing .. most punters can only drop the ball on one side of the field, whereas Wing can do equally well on both sides, making it impossible for the return team to pre-calculate their return set up. That's fricken AWSOME, and ALWAYS gives LSU the edge on punt coverage.
Untrue, mark my words, Alabama will fcuk up on Saturday just like they did last year in Tiger Stadium. I am convinced our team is better than last year and their team isn't, our team has attitude and swagger. Its gonna be great gumborue, get ready, This is LSU's year!:tigereye:
