Yeah, it's so stupid. Besides, they basically only call them after TDs. I didn't see anything excessive with either team today. I mean, if they wanted to be true about those kinds of calls, they probably could have gotten Patrick Peterson just about every time he successfully defended a pass. He stares down the receiver, checks for a flag on the field very quickly, does the incompletion pass signal for about a good 20 seconds and then quickly looks around once more just to make sure he saw things correctly the first time around.

Seriously, I'll admit 1) I'm a dawgs fan, and 2) LSU whipped us up and down the field in the first half. But chance happens, and sometimes a team that didn't win in the stats wins on the scoreboard. LSU failed to score more than 6 points in the first half, and so the Dawgs deserved their chance.

That said, I have never seen a worse excessive celebration in hundreds and hundreds of games watched than in this one. The refs massively altered the balance of the game. Green caught the ball, rushed into his teammates' arms, and ... what? Briefly wagged his chin? I don't even know what happened, but I do know that a fifteen-yard penalty with that lead and that amount of time put LSU in a completely different playcalling position than if we had kicked it to the goal-line, even allowing for a great return. (And let's not forget that LSU could take a chance on a long return partly because good field position was virtually guaranteed by the terrible call.)

Honestly, painful. I'd rather have lost the game honestly, but as it was, I think it's fair to say that no one knows who would have won that game if LSU had started that last drive on the 35. My LSU family didn't even call me to gloat, and I think I know why.

    you lost, honestly.

your kicker butler reached the 15 yard line. trindon just made a great run to your 38 was it?

at worst you should have tackled him at our 35 or 40. had nothing to do with the penalty but everything to do with your coverage and our good run.

we had the same penalty but stuffed you at about the 30.

why didnt you run freely to our 38?

for the record we won in the stats and on the scoreboard.

also, aj green probably told the ref to suck his **** anyhow.

Bad call...bad makeup call !! Those calls really took away from the game, but they did not influence the outcome.

I wonder what the rule actually is...Is it just after a score or is it after any play? I ask this because, what both players did after the scores was nothing compared to the head shaking and chest beating after other plays...and even that wasn't bad at all.

I remember complaining here last season after the Arkansas game about some LSU players acting like King Kong after making routine plays and I pointed out that Alabama's players never did that under Bear Bryant.

I got a priceless reply from someone who said that the Bear would have docked their pay for excessive celebrations !!.

Sucks to lose a game on a BS penalty. Just ask LSU fans. Ever in your life heard of a "leverage" call before the Tigers got robbed against Auburn a few years ago? I didn't think so. Me neither. As has been stated, it may suck balls, but blown calls are a part of the game unfortunately. Why didn't your boys make the most of the "make up" penalty called on Charles Scott in the exact same circumstance? Too bad they didn't march down the field in :20 seconds and threw a pick instead.

I wonder if perhaps Green possibly said something he shouldn't have? He was really running his mouth and he refs were right beside him trying to get him to stop. I don't know if they heard something that crossed the line or not. I'm just glad we won.

Was it a BS call on Green? Yes.

But we got almost 40 yards on the return AND your own players' fault for the 5-yard penalty added on to the end of the return because they were lined up incorrectly.

All we needed was a FG but ran over your butt all the way to the endzone. That alone should eliminate any doubt in your mind..

THEN! They give LSU the same BS penalty.

Not our fault that you STILL couldn't get a decent return off of the same type of kickoff Trindon went across midfield on.

And Trindon fielded that last return on the 17 yardline. We were pootch-kicking to you a couple of times that the ball was FIELDED at the 20 by you guys!

Bottom line: Quit whinning about the call. You lost by giving up a TD because your defense couldn't tackle (remember, they had him at the line), couldn't cover on special teams and couldn't have a decent return on special teams.

UGA lost in every aspect of this game.

You did lose honestly. Charles Scott got an excessive celebration make-up call within a minute and gave UGA their chance.
