    Something needs to be done.

If college kids can't get excited about getting a potential game winning TD, then don't play the game at all.

This was the worst I have ever seen.

Possibly cost Georgia the game. I'm sure that's the way they feel.

LSU got called for one also, but I think that was purely a makeup call, although Scott definitely did a little more than what AJ Green did, which was absolutely nothing.

It's easier for the coach to just stop the excessive celebrations. It was known that this would be a point of emphasis for NCAA referees this year. It is entirely possible to score a TD without gorilla walking, chest beating, endzone dancing and other silly chit.

they hit us with the same exact penalty, its not our fault we were able to capitalize and they weren't. I agree that the penalites were a joke, Charles Scott was thanking God and he got flagged. (Flagged for thanking God? WTF?) They shouldn't have been called but they were and they were called both ways. Not LSU's fault, and if Georgia would have capitalized like we did, they wouldn't be bitching about it.

I agree...but...#8 had a great return and GA compounded it with a penalty. Field Goal was a real possibility even without the celebration penalty.

LSU got some sh!tty spots during the game as well.

Well you look at what LSU was able to do with the kickoff vs what Georgia did (43 yard of Georgia on our return vs Georgia only getting to their 32 yard line).

So maybe Georgia should have covered better, but still a call that can't be made, especially in that situation.

What? Now you an UGA appologist, too??? Tigers pull out a win and islst has to doom-n-gloom on something. .....

But seriously, I hear ya. I didn't see anything AJ Green did that justified that call. But to our own credit, Trindon had a good return and with that much time left on the clock, and only a FG needed for the win, you need to give our offense credit. Without the penalty, we would have needed 30 yards or so to get into FG range and instead, we got a 30-yard TD run.

Terrible call, but when we kicked off from the 15, we got down the field and hit the guy down at their 35. If Georgia had done the same, and not used an illegal kickoff formation, they'd have stood a better chance at winning.

Even still, they had 49 seconds to win the game and proceeded to turn it over. We won on the field, they lost on the field. The refs continued to do what SEC refs do, and that's suck horribly. But they didn't cost Georgia anything.

come on, would you honestly have said that had it happened to LSU?

    honestly?

call it what it is. it's shytty officiating that needs to be corrected, like SabanFan alluded to.
