Maybe so, but looked like every week we were on upset alert.........Oregon, Moo. St., WV, bama, Ark, etc.
Thanks LSUDAD, Ive lurked for quite awhile, I am a good judge of character and you are obviously a great poster. Kajun, Agreed, this team does seem to really have things going its way. However, if I had a choice, I would keep the media on Bamas side because it would only help us and not hurt us. I truthfully think we take this one either way, and it wont be as close. We will see soon
I don't think the media thought W. Virg. would beat us. The rest of the teams the media considered competative especially playing them on the road.
Either way, I think we can all agree that we do have not received the same praise that say Bama, USC, Texas or others have received when they were on top, and again, that works out fine. When the dust settles and we have accomplished the goal we ultimately set out to conquer, it wont matter how others speculate. Accomplished people dont have to strut feathers like a peacock, they can fly
I will agree. I think the reason is that the talking heads did not consider Les as good a coach as the coaches at the schools mentioned. His blunders made last year was the reason and his awkward news conferences. But I think Miles has proven just how good a coach he is since then.
Yep, some had us not making it out of Morgantown with a W. Remember, up to that time, WV had won 18 straight home games to OOC teams. Last loss was in 2005 against #3 VT.
That's right. And finally after we defeated all comers, Herbstriet and those of his ilk, finally concluded that we were the best team in the country. But not until we beat them all with the majority of our biggest victories on the road.
