How about a thread for us to just enjoy the championship without anyone (and you know who you are) from other schools (and you know what schools) coming on and trying to rain on the parade. I am not quite finished relishing in the fact that we are establishing ourselves as one of the best, if not THE best, football programs in the country. We have won 2 in five years, and will probably stay in the top 5 (at least) for the next few years, and may win another. I would just like to enjoy that without anyone coming on in the form of "trying to be funny", or "trying to be a good sport", and actually trying to throw a stick in the spokes of tires that are rolling right past their arrogant school's backsides!! The "spotlight", no matter how the media is trying to keep it off of us, is beginning to illuminate Baton Rouge, LA!! LSU is the number one team in the country, and I am lovin it!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Post, I think we are the team of the decade, if we get one more NC before the decade is over, there will be no debating that we are the team of the decade. I am extremely proud to be a Tiger, people are still saying congrats, which I love. With the wealth of talent and our coach, I am extremely excited about the next 4 years or so. Our recruiting hasnt slowed down by any account. We will finish at least top 5 this year and next years talent coming out of Louisianas high schools is just enormous. So with that said... We have arrived
I hope we finish in the top 5 recruiting. We'll have to pick up another 5 star or two to get there. LSU baseball was the team of the 90s. LSU football is becoming the team of the 00s. Which sport will be the team of the 10s? :shock: It's great to be a tiger fan.

I'm with ya, the afterglow of this game will linger around for a long time and the Crystals safe and sound in BR. Now, the emphasis shifts to recruiting. Always have to strive to be better! We have a coach who insists on it!:thumb:
He also graduated 25 out of 25 seniors off of this team. That my friends is 100%!! The players love him, and that will help with recruiting. I am also glad we are not starting the season in the top 5 (as of now), because it will take the pressure off of the guys who will be taking over as starters, and give us a chance to play without the target on our backs. I actually like our chances next year, and DEFINITELY the year after that. Hello America! Have you heard of that team from the boot that is taking coaches from Michigan and limelight from USC?????? I am going to dwell on the 2 championships in 5 years for at least a year. For Heaven's sake USC still dwells on the split, and Alabama still lives on the rings they got decades ago. It is safe for us to relish in this for a while. Enjoy!:champs::champs:
