I don't care who plays as long as LSU wins, but let's not spew false information simply to try and bolster one QB over another.

Miles made his choice at QB for whatever reasons he had. There's one more game to be played for both. Both will get at least one snap.

    /end thread.

first off, I am not spewing anything. I am stating an opinion that is based partly on numbers, but did not feel i needed to give statistics in my brief comment. go look at the overall ypg for offense last 3-4 games with JJ vs prior games w/JL if you want. i am not a JJ over JL guy, i am an LSU winning guy. JL probably passes a little better, but JJ allows for more dimension, thus the offensive numbers overall are better. bottom-line, however, is that both are undefeated as LSUs QB this year. we'd be fine with either, imho. my overall original point was that it was not "the elephant in the room" issue, again, imo.

Yep this is one beat to hell dead horse. People tend to get their panties all wadded up over this topic. Les and the coaches know when and where to play each. After jl vs bama 1 I would doubt we'd see him in 2 . But I don't get paid to make those decisions.

Given that he hasn't played at all the last few games, it's hard to imagine he will take any snaps.
But who knows, the Hatter could have something up his sleeve....

    That's not an elephant.

More like a meek little mouse.

    Nothing to see here.

    JJ or bust.

The backup rarely even gets the victory formation in the title game.

None. If Lee is throwing, he is a huge liability.

The first 8 games of the season wholeheartedly disagrees with you.

He was the 10th most efficient QB in the nation at that point.

I don't get why this even a question.

Many people try to make this a fan arguement instead of listening to the head coach.

    From the horses mouth.

    On JJ
"Jefferson is tougher than a lot of men I know."

On why JL hasn't been getting more playing time.

"I wanted to make sure victory had been secured"

    People.
It's not speculation anymore. Jarrett Lee is the backup. JJ is the starter. Wondering if the back-up QB will play on the biggest stage is baseless at this point.

Especially being that the deck of cards fell on JL the last time he saw the Crimson uniform.

And for one, I couldn't agree more with the coaches analysis.

JL fears being hit, but is a hell of a passer.
JJ plays fearless, but is far less accurate, and holds onto the ball for a full century before making a decision.

But the proof is in the pudding. When the stage is big, JJ steps up.

Played lights out vs. Georgia Tech as a freshman.
Cap one bowl was a sloppy mess.
Alabama and Texas A&M from 2010 were lights out.
Nov. 5 was a huge game and he stepped up to the plate with some big throws and scrambles.

    Point being..
JJ's history has proven he isn't scared of the moment.
JL has proven that he can be accurate with protection. But when put under any type of stress, he'd rather hand you the ball than take a hit.

    JJ is the starter.
    JL is the backup.

Will JL get a chance to play. Of course, if we are winning by 30 with 5 minutes to go.

If coach answers the question with, "No, we won't be seeing Lee today." That's like saying, "No, I don't expect to beat the crap out of our opponent."

Of course every game there is a chance to see J Lee. Just as there is a chance you will see all of our 2nd and 3rd teamers when "Victory has been secured."

I'm expecting to lose lots of sleep on Monday night, simply because I'm too busy rewatching Les and the boys hold up that crystal football!!!
