Worst pot of the year. I kid I kid. Well said @CalcoTiger

I think Alabama was a backup qb away on depth too. It's a different playoff with Bama in there instead of Oklahoma. 2011 and that other year they backed in finally evened out I guess.

We were beating whomever was there, really didn't matter.

Mark Packer did some research on his XM radio show Monday for those people saying lsu is just a one and done. In the last 4 seasons, comparing teams with top AP top 25 wins. LSU had 20, and was second behind OSU and Bama by only two. In the same 4 years, LSU was #1 with AP top 5 wins, with 12. LSU isn't going away and may be closer to elite status than people think.

We always knew we were good quarterback play away from being elite and contending for a title.

I don't know about anyone else but Les left some scars that lingered for years. I don't think I watched a whole LSU vs Alabama game and vice versa for years, some years I didn't watch it at all. I don't watch Alabama when they play football either. I believe the last time I watched LSU play Alabama was Leonard Fornette's year when he was running all over everyone including Auburn. I can't remember if that was his freshman or sophomore year. At any rate as we know we couldn't run at all, the rest was history.
