Brennan will now get the majority of practice reps and have the full attention of Joe Brady starting as soon as the title game is over. I don't expect him to be another Joe Burrow but he can't help but be the best Myles Brennan he can be.
Although we have a relatively small number of plays by which to judge, I do feel better about Brennan based on what he did while in games this year. He does have some "real" in game experience and looked pretty good. I imagine a spring and summer of concentration will allow him to make good progress. Three of our first five games are "rent-a-wins," we play Ol'Miss at home. At least on paper, Texas (at home) should be out only challenge. Those five games should give Brennan good experience without blowing the chances for a good season.
I think Brennan needs the mental and intelllectual development the most. Kid has the physical tools to be a better passer than Joe. I worry that he’s a bit too shy to full realize his physical potential. Here’s to hoping I’m wrong.
Shy? He’s not a Twitter-happy revolving door Jump in the Portal whiner if he doesn’t get PT Under Wraps? Ever heard of it ... He be watchin’ and he be waitin’ ... Hungry! make no mistake ... This kid is a beast that can bomb (70 yards aerial) the living crap outta the entire SEC, including his own team in practice and last time I checked, we had some nasty S/D corners ... He’s a 4th year kid ... Quiet confidence is another way ... It ain’t Ramah’s way or Joe’s way ... But he’ll get us to that SECCG again next year!
