I guess it's all about the money. But it still seems like a higher than usual number. I don't follow any other teams, so is that about the average number for other elite teams losing declaring underclassmen? I just wish there was an avenue for some to return if they don't like their draft status. But if they did that, then kids would return if they didn't like the team that picked them. There are definitely some that are declaring that could use another year.
Herbie did a really good piece on the way LSU was handling this and I couldn't agree with him more. Cliff notes were : 1. Try to act like you've been here before 2. Most importantly, it looked like Coach O was building something, going to take over as the new king of the SEC W but as it turns out they were just a one time deal and it's back to business as usual.
In 1987 during the NFL strike it was reported that the practice players who were brought up to play the games were making $4000 a week. I would think 33 years later it would be a lot more.
Why are people confused by who was eligible to leave early? TCU thinks Stingley was in his 3rd season (maybe because he played like it). Now you think Chase is a 3rd year player. Replace Chase with Farrell. Kirklin was a Jr also.
Thank God because he as well as the other two would be gone as well. Sad state of affairs when we have to rely on So. because they can't go anywhere. So much for that "Deep Love for LSU Bleed P&G" bullshit. Go feed that to someone else
