The incoming freshman runs like a gazel, I would guess he might beat Marshall in a foot race. So you're talking about him running routes not typical of most tight ends. So you could easily see both on the field simultaneously with Gilbert being out wide. Gilbert is gonna wreak havoc the likes we've never seen.
Hope you are correct, but most hotshot receivers (& TEs) get by in high school on their speed and size. To exceed at the next level they have to learn how to run disciplined routes and most importantly how to block.
What about having them in the game at the same time? I would definitely design a package around that formation.

And Chase. Given everything we're losing, we're most likely going to take a step back next year. But, that's still forever away so enjoy every single bit of this championship.
