    Good observation.

Remember Mett's comment in the off season. I've been give the keys to a Ferarri I just don't need to crash it. Well you haven't crashed it yet. It was a fender bender against what turns out to be a good Florida team. You can either rev it up to about 140 mph against Bama or it could be a head on collision. What are you going to do Mett? If past performance is any indication of future success than I would wear extra padding in your helmet.

Could be but he's clearly still "young & dumb" in the context of experience playing QB. The announcers were pointing out yesterday how he checks into the "wrong" play given what he's seeing.

He's been banging the wall ever since the preseason games ended. The Ferrari has taken serious damage. If he doesn't get it back on the road there wont be enough to drive across the finish line. Unlike many, I didnt expect spectacular play from a first year SEC starter but I expected more from someone that fought for the starting job at Georgia and then led a solid offense at Division II.

Posted this on the "How we beat Alabama" thread:

I'm looking at the offensive stats for LSU and Alabama and both have very similar stats. First at QB, Mett has thrown for 1,419 yards, McCarron for 1,476 (Alabama team total is 1,541). Mett's stats are even better than two QB's we've already faced, Driskell and Shaw. I know you can't judge things on stats alone, but I was surprised at how similar these numbers shake out.

I mentioned some rushing stats also in that post.

In any case, I thought it was interesing at least in terms of yardage numbers how similar the teams are.

I just think we all need to send some good vibes his way. He can't have faith in himself, if we don't have faith in him as well. He's playing with the same monkey on his back that Lee was playing with .. afraid to validate the fans perception of him as being mistake prone.

We know the guy has a great game in him .... it's just waiting to come out.

One plays for a team that wears awesome colors, has the hottest women, and plays home games in the best stadium in college football, for a great man who is severely disrespected. The other one is a fucking gump.

Ferris drove the car fine ... it was Fry who kicked it off the stand in reverse and wrecked it. Plus its Ferris Fucking Bueller ... he can do anything, of course he drove it better.

Are you kidding me.....the difference in Mett and MaCarron is that offensive line that Macarron is playing behind......I would be comfortable behind that line....when you can take an all american right takle and move him to center because an incoming freshman is just as talented...you have some studs up front.....I have said it a bunch and will continue to say it.....that o-line is what makes that offense go...no doubt. When your worried about getting decapitated from the backside on every play you would be tense frustrated and timid to.
