Dead.....horse.....dead.....beaten.....severely.....tiresome.....redundancy.....let.....it.....go.....
Pretty remarkable especially since those two years could be considered "rebuilding" years with all the young talent. We return 80% of our two-deep and will improve at the most important position. Can't f'n wait to see this team next year. Last year was just a dress rehearsal.
I truly think that one thing will fix it all GOOD QB PLAY: Not average, not JJ, not JL, GOOD! AND, If I have to explain, you and I are not on the same page and it just isnt worth the argument.
Most horrible analogy ever award - congrats. We are defending LSU from spoiled fans...that's my opinion. You don't like mine, and I don't like yours. I'm cool with that.
Some LSU fans are feeling cranky because January 9th's humiliating beat-down allows some comparisons to be made between the LSU football program and the Alabama football program. Right now, most observers of CFB would say that Bama's program is stronger, more prestigious, has a better reputation, a better coach, and has won more Championships than the LSU football program. Nobody is saying that LSU football sucks, Miles sucks, etc. What I am saying is that, right now, the reality is that Miles's football program has fallen behind the Alabama Crimson Tide program, even though Miles started out with an advantage and a head start. That's why some LSU fans are cranky. Also, some LSU fans doubt that Coach Miles has the capability to catch up to Alabama and start to beat them in Championships and Recruiting. That also makes them cranky. My opinion is that Saban is better than Miles and has surpassed Miles. I believe that is going to be a permanent condition. Why does my honest opinion merit any kind of opposing vitriol or scorn from fellow LSU fans?
Nope. All the experts picked Bama to win it last year. They did exactly what the were expected to do. WE, HOWEVER, put a big dent in the whole Bama's great year by beating them at home and winning the SEC. And next year is our year.
Nah, most aren't upset because Bama is better than us right now. Heck Bama is better than everyone right now and that pisses off all fans because we all want to be the best. They are upset because they look at one bad loss and think we've dropped down to the ranks of the MSU'S, GA Tech's and Cal's of the world. The bad part is that they don't even bother to look at history, at records, at facts, at the truth. They have made up their mind and want to believe that game was Miles' Waterloo. Was Nebraska getting stomped in a title game evidence that Osborne should have been fired because their future was all of a sudden so bleak? Should Spurrier had been let go when the Gators got blasted in another game for all the marbles? Was Oklahoma's thrashing at three hand of USC proof that the Sooners program would not be a great program in the future with Stoops in charge? Should Don Shula have been canned after his Colts lost to the Jets our after his Dolphins got whipped by the Cowboys? Of he had we would still be waiting for the first undefeated season in NFL HISTORY. In other words never put too much stock in one game when judging a career our the future, sit back and focus on the big picture and weigh all of the facts, then let the future unfold and the reality of what happens determine what should decide the fate of a coach.
I don't see how anybody can think that LSU is not second best. LSU is second best. Alabama is the best, but LSU is in second place, not MSU, Arkansas, Georgia, Ohio State, etc. However, I will say that I do sense a lot of resentment from many LSU fans when I express my opinion that Alabama is best because Saban is better than Miles. Many LSU fans want to think that Miles is Saban's equal, and they get angry when people disagree. Alabama was damn lucky to have Saban fall into their laps. If Saban had stayed at LSU, LSU would be on top and Alabama probably would NOT be in second place. I do believe that Nick Saban will one day be known as the greatest college football coach of all time, and I believe that he will coach at Alabama until he achieves this legendary distinction. This is unfortunate for us LSU fans, but, there it is. Why Alabama gets to be so lucky is a mystery to me. It's not fair.
