    Living in the burgh, I've been reminded of this several times. The last time cost me a round of drinks in a Pitt-friendly bar. I gladly paid it.
    But,,,,,,even if I could, I'd never give up a game.

    So the computers dont work because they factor in strength of schedule, the polls dont work because of bias.

    When can we get a freakin playoff?

    yeah but that is the component that the BCS removed, and the one that was implemented was more voter influence.

    I think, i may be mistaken, but after 03 when we won the :crystal: Oklahoma lost the "formality" game to Kansas St. and LSU beat Georgia for the SEC and USC beat Oregon St. OU drops to 3 in the human polls, USC to number 1 and LSU to number 2. Boise St. beats Hawaii and because of the SOS component, USC (who beat Hawaii earlier in the year) drops in the BCS from 2 to 3. LSU moves up to 2, OU stays at 1 because they ran through the little 12 with no competition, until the big 12 championship game and were so far ahead before that.
