In the Garden God lied to them but the snake was honest. Funny thing, that Bible.

Everyone lies except Rex. Even God might say "sorry no room here for you boy".

Here is what God said: “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

Here is what the snake said: “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Of course, none of the story is true, but within the story, as Adam and Eve didn't die on the day they ate from the tree, and their eyes were indeed opened to good and evil, it's God who lied and the snake who told the truth.

Ever heard of a metaphor, you insufferable jackass? This was the original sin and coined the term For the wages of sin is death. So, their disobedience of God did not mean instant death the second the apple touched their lips. It meant they would not live forever in the Garden of Eden.

God lied. The snake told the truth. There it is.

Aside from that, how on earth were Adam and Eve supposed to know that it was wrong to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil when they hadn't yet learned of good and evil? Whoever wrote that stuff wasn't thinking straight.

Well, I'm not here to deprive you of the joys of superstition. To each his own!
