Ohio State will not be a lock by any means. Voters still count for 2/3 of the BCS and they're going to be very gunshy about putting them back in the BCSNCG after getting trounced twice before. On paper, USC fields one of the weakest teams that program has had since Carroll took over, so a home win won't mean as much as it would have 2-3 years ago.
I agree. I think this is a realistic goal that can be accomplished. There are several leaders this year, and I think that was missing last season. Dickson, LaFell, Ciron, and Scott are great leaders for this offense. Is anyone else worried about the potential play at fullback?
I think we'll be fine at fullback. Stevan Ridley, Domingue Allen, maybe Theriot and sometimes Charles Scott with KW at rb. On 2nd thought, is Ridley healthy? I remember hearing something about an injury, maybe in the spring game.
I'm not worried about our fullback play. I'm worried about us playing Georgia and Florida, plus 'Bama and Ole Miss on the road. I don't think anyone else in the West plays BOTH of them. The reason we're not picked to have a great season is because of 3 things: 1.) last year's QB problems 2.) last year's terrible defense 3.) our tough SEC schedule We're not flying under the radar because of our talent..... :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I think the only official "scratch" for the season is Tim Molton. Edit: From Dandy Don on 7/21/2009: There's your answer, I guess.
I agree with you, but if you think that the voters will keep out an undefeated Ohio State team you are kidding yourself. OSU Schedule vs. Navy @ Columbus vs. USC @ Columbus vs. Toledo @ Cleveland Ohio vs. Illinois @ Columbus vs. Indiana @ Indiana vs. Wisconsin @ Columbus vs. Purdue @ Purdue vs. Minnesota @ Columbus vs. New Mexico St. @ Columbus vs. Penn St. @ Happy Valley vs. Iowa @ Columbus vs. Michigan @ Ann Arbor the only bumps on that schedule are USC, maybe Penn St., maybe Wisconsin, maybe Michigan. I think they go undefeated this year, and are locked in for a National Championship Game against Texas. In a rematch of last years Fiesta Bowl. Now, if an SEC team goes undefeated then all bets are off, because no way after 2004 will an undefeated SEC team not play in the National Championship Game. (at least i hope not)
You honestly think they will beat USC this year? Just askin'... For the record, I think they lose vs. Penn St. too..
yes i do, its at the shoe, USC has lost a hell of a lot, including starting quarterback, offensive lineman, defensive lineman, and entire linebacker core. Terrell Pryor is going to light them up. Mark it down. and im not trying to say that they will be better than the top dogs in the SEC im just saying that their schedule is really weak. Penn St. lost alot of players from last year also.
