April is balanced budget responsible spending month. Can you believe that shit? Took these ass clowns 5 years to do a budget, trillion dollar deficits and spending money like a drunken sailor in a whorehouse that just hit the lottery. And obama is gonna give a speech to some kids about responsible spending. Hmm hmm hm. I thought it was an April fools joke

 

It will be cheaper because our current system is nothing more than an end of life care system and does not help to manage people's health care along the way. Paying for a doctors visit an a prescription for an anti-biotic is cheaper than a week long hospital stay for pneumonia. This is only one example but in the long run it will be cheaper.

In fact, if not for the stimulus, the whole god damned thing would have collapsed. All of your beloved Republicans who claim to be deficit hawks never passed on a chance to spend money while Bush was President. Don't take my word for it, look it up!

My boy Obama hasn't done anything but stabilize the crisis within his first six months in office via the stimulus, saved the fledgling auto industry and with it a shit ton of jobs, responsibly has put an end to the wars, over seen roughly 3.5 trillion in debt reduction over the next decade, passed a historic health care bill that directly addresses the rise in health care costs and prevents insurance companies from dropping you because you are sick or denies you coverage because you've been sick before, crushed al queda like Bush and Cheney never dreamed of, oversaw the modernization of our military tactics against terrorist cells, ceased the practice of torture that was such a scourge on our moral standing in the world, stopped employing isolationist strategies and started engaging the international community, and seen the unemployment drop from ten percent to seven and a half. I'd say my boy Obama has been hard at work....wish we could have said the same of Bush and his cronies.

It is historically inaccurate to think a president can, "alone", fix anything in 6 months. Yea, he played his party but a lot of what slowed down the job losses was in play before Obama.

I guess you are forgetting the Loans Bush gave the Auto industry that allowed Obama to "save" failed businesses. AKA short term bridge loans -- approved under Bush.

Everything that I said in my post about Obama was accurate. I never said he did it alone, I said that under his administration we had a stimulus in place within 6 months that put a floor under the free fall we were in. Was the stimulus not Obama's idea? I mean, he get's the blame for it when you guys want to pin him as a wild spender, so shouldn't he get the credit? Which is it, Pride? You can't have it both ways.

this is how I know that the republicans are simply playing politics as it applies to Obamacare: Obamacare is actually far closer to the Republican plan for healthcare than the Democrats. If you don't believe me go back and watch the debates and listen to McCain describe his health care plan vs. Obama's plan, which was far more left during the 2008 election. Further, Romney authored the whole thing when he did essentially the same thing in Massachusets. I know, I know.....how could I have forgotten.....but it really only works at the state level.......NOT! Once more, just a piss poor excuse for opposing something that they previously advocated.
