SEC officiating at it's finest. At least we didn't have ole bug eyes officiating. I can't think of his name right now, but he absolutely hates LSU. They're probably saving him for us when we play Bama.

Yep, that be him. His eyes actually look normal in that pic. I guess they only bug out when he calls a penalty against us because he's so happy to do so and can't help himself.

I agree that ol' bug eyes is terrible, but he's actually an equal opportunity bad ref. He makes bad calls against everybody. Except for Alabama, but what else would one expect?

I don't ever remember a bad call going against Alabama, by any official.

The thing is, where Loston's helmet would have been was below the dude's shoulder! It wouldn't have even been helmet-to-helmet had he been there on time. He was very clearly going for the ball/torso area. Total failure on the part of the ref.

Devil's advocate...but preface to say I thought it was a shitty call.

However, Loston launched himself, and DID make contact. I don't know why people are suggesting he didn't. And when he made contact, the guy was 3' out of bounds and the play was over. I think people are confusing the call with Herbie's interpretation of the call. Herbie's full of shit. It had nothing to do with intent. It was a late hit, OOB, and he launched himself, and he led with his helmet. All penalties. They didn't call helmet to helmet.

Still, he just grazed his helmet off the guy's back. BS to call it there IMO...

It was a B.S call dude. Trust me, if Loston really wanted to hit that WR he would've did it.

Herbie is full of Crap.....I'm a high school official, that official missed that call, loston pulled up and just grazed the reciever, that was not a foul, you can not throw a flag on intent! The leauge and media pundants usually take up for the refs so the do not take any of the blame.

The whole point that made it NOT a foul was that he was pulling himself away from the hit.
