You have to look at things objectively and in the context as well. I agree, we have to see LSU finish strong for Oeaux to get the job. That said, you have to look at the opposition. How well do we play? Do we show improvement? Do we make adjustments? So many variables. I know you're dead set on scoring 70 pts per game but there is a lot more to coaching than just black and white wins. Another thing to consider is this staff was given a broken team and have turned the mind set around.
And LSU is fun to watch again. I'm not totally on the O-train but I just grabbed hold of the outside handrail and he might pull me all the way on board.
i think Hermann's getting exposed. He won't translate to the SEC, imo. Coach Oeaux has the experience at the highest level to let this tiger run, and i hope he wins out and gets the job. (or even 1 loss) Petrino would be a proven commodity that could take the reins and whip ass....not Herrmann
I think Herman with LSU recruits could win and win big. But the way Eaux is with his players, his recruiting godship... I think Eaux with the right OC hire could be a big deal at LSU.
There is a lot to a coach who gets emotion out of players. We recruit head cases. 5 star dramas. Since Miles left, Dupree has looked like the player we heard he was. Plus all the other ballers we have.

i like O and hope he can somehow remain in this staff, but let's get serious for a moment. O has 3 things rolling in his favor right now: A. he's not Les Miles B. he's a coonass C. he's not Les Miles everyone is getting excited because he's better than the guy who just got fired. well, no shit! that guy got fired because he under achieved with a ridiculously talented roster. newsflash, O is not competing with Miles for the job. he's competing against guys whose entire body of work thus far is superior to O's entire body of work so far. in order to improve his overall resume, he'll have to do better than 3-2 down the stretch.
