If Oeaux does well but does not get the job because the powers that be and others like you calling for an offensive coach it will come back to bite everyone in the ass. He is in a no win situation just because he is an offensive minded coach? I don't wanna hear any bitching when LSU is giving up 40 pts a game.

I find myself agreeing with Boog often, just not on this. If Eaux wins out, he's getting a golden parachute. He has a shot if he has few losses and loses good. If he loses one or two bad games, he's getting a golden shower.

By saying that O has to run the table, you are implying that a new coach, make that a better coach, will.

Newsflash: 1st year coach is NOT gonna run the table in SEC West, unless multiple disasters strike, which I would never hope for, at about four other schools. Just not happening. Even in your dreams.

Too many are making a good enough vs perfect comparison, and perfect is, in the near term, not gonna occur without Saban or maybe, Meyer.

Not saying O has to be the coach, but you need to be realistic, or, you are setting yourselves up for keen disappointment, regardless of who is coaching.

Unfortunately, this is so true with our schedule next year. Let's face it, 10-2 would not be a bad 2017 season but it would still have Bama playing in Atlanta. While I will hope I am wrong, just cannot ignore the brutal end to our schedule.

Sort of close to my NFL Draft thing. Can't move a 4th or 5th round QB up to the 1st round just because no other QB is there. He is what he is.

Unfortunately it happens all the time.

I'm not much in the hope-giving business, but your two losses came from trying to do everything the hard, hard, one-dimensional way. The athletes are always the key to a different kind of changeover. I think it's going to be interesting what LSU decides to do with the HC and offensive philosophy going forward next season. Here's the best part, if you decide to go uptempo, spread, or being more balanced in the pro style, the athletes are on campus.

I'm still hoping for Herman, but if O makes it through the next 5 games without a loss, he deserves it.
