Excellent 30 for 30 program about Bo Rein debuted on SEC Network tonight. If you didn't see it, I highly recommend you watch for it. I remember his hiring, I remember the morning he died, but I had no idea until watching the show how highly-regarded he was. I think he was the Urban Meyer of his time, and you can't help but wonder what the last 35 years of LSU football would have been like had he not been taken away.
I think he was one of the first coaches to have success running the veer offense. Weird the way he died. Same thing happened to golfer Payne Stewart.
Wow, so he and Lynard Skynard were both killed in plane crashes on their way to Baton Rouge. Skynard October of 77, Rein in January of 80.
you are coming from a different direction. Maybe a plane is better for you. We are both are still alive!
I am obligated to visit my mom's side of the family when I go down to a game. Mansura, Moreauville, Plaucheville... @LaSalleAve knows the territory. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins. I have them in Broussard too. So either way, it is a early Friday morning drive from DFW and a nights stay somewhere. No worries, it makes everyone happy.
