Ron Brooks stepped up big time and has not turned back. Playing at a phenomenal level (Honey Badger level, in fact). Kenny Hilliard has made us 4 deep in the RB rotation, making it impossible to slow down the LSU rushing attack by the time the 4th quarter comes around (talk about some fresh legs).
And the fact that it forced these young guys to face reality. They are under a microscope. They are no longer hanging out on the streets. They are not bigger than the rules, the team, or LSU. It was a tough lesson, but one that will make them better men.
Great point. Mathieu is the most noticeable as he has left all that taunting bullshyt behind him. He appears very humble these days.
I must admit, It's been a long time since I've seen a team face such adversity, and come out on top. Kudos to your team, your coach, and your fan base.
When your offensive coordinator steps down a month before the season starts, you're usually in for a long long year. Thanks. It's been crazy.
It delayed this team's peaking ... we are peaking again now Bad news for whoever gets the BCS # 2:hihi:
I would say the team started at a peak with the first game of the season, thanks to the tremendous preparation before the season for Oregon. Now we seem to be having the second peak. Quite an amazing team and season!
We were hitting on all cylinders on defense and in the running game from the first snap (and special teams, of course). It looked a lot like the 2010 season all over again when we played Oregon. Took until the WVU game before the passing game caught up. That 3rd and 1 play action fake to Beckham for the touchdown I thought was the turning point in the season, in regards to our passing game and being able to dial up plays to kill people being too aggressive vs the run.
