how much money are NFL teams throwing at guys who can't catch, and then just stand around and watch the other team jump on a live ball as time expires?
:geaux: IMO, T. Tolliver has shown throughout this past season that while he is capable of making plays he still has a lot of work to do before he's ready for the NFL. He REALLY needs another year of college ball to work on being more consistent and hopefully Gonzalez is the man to help him get to the next level.:thumb: I'm thinking TT will be back next year in purple and gold. :LSU231:
Re: The Billy Gonzales Factor It is comments like this, that have me hopeful for improvement next year, even if Crowton were to remain (not that I want him to). I just realized I have been spelling his name wrong..ooops!
agree with your original post, BTD. i agree with others who say that mainly the wet, sloppy field was not conducive to the passing game, thus we were not able to see the full effect of BG yet. also, he has only be en on board about a month. we'll need to give that time. i do not see CGC going anywhere now, unfortunately, so we better hope that BG and Wilson have a monumental effect on the offense
I don't think BG was given the opp to touch the gameplan...yet. here's hoping the time between now and spring practice will be to creating a hybrid of his offense built into Crowton' "system". Of course, I really hope that Crowton will be fired and BG promoted to OC. I don't just want to win, I want to see us utilize our weapons. Its frustrating to watch something that is unsuccessful, be tried over and over and over again. Question: If Miles got rid of Crowton, would that help him regain some credibility with the fan base? I know it would help me. :thumb:
i think it would be a big help. but i also think that he needs to turn certain aspects of the game over to an oc or someone else. i said after the ole miss fiasco that he needs to hire someone who is great at clock management and turn that over. i hope if he hires a new oc, that is part of the deal.
