It should have been done much better,” Trump said. so, to be fair, trump started withdrawing troops from afghanistan but it is also clear that per the plan in 2018 the withdrawal would have been much more measured.
After 18 years and a basic stalemate in Afghanistan. We should have stayed another 18 years. The story would be the exact same.

Even if he did, what is so terrible about trying to work out a deal? Better than getting our Soldiers killed right? I'd expect a leader to do such things.
