This just in.... Federal Troops will continue to occupy the streets of DC for several more weeks or longer. That is an abomination. Observations - The same people that were screaming bloody murder any time local police even showed up to the peaceful protests" earlier this year that resulted in over a billion dollars in damage, ruined a few thousand small business and their associated families lives, and resulted in multiple deaths, now gleefully surround themselves with federal troops. I still think about that 35 year veteran police officer in St Louis that was gunned down guarding his friends pawn shop. These same people, that sheered on, bailed out and advocated for the peaceful protesters, these same people that condemned the Trump Administration for sending federal marshals to protect federal property in Portland and Seattle have 25,000 troops guarding themselves and capitol building. And then they make those troops sleep in a parking garage in 38 degree weather. Couple the military occupation along with what Biden has done in his first couple days in office and the outlook for the next four years isn't pretty. And they called Trump an authoritarian dictator. I don't know if this is comedy or a tragedy. I do know that I am completely disgusted with the caliber of individuals "leading" our country. Dear God we need term limits.

If Trump hadn’t incited an armed insurrection, the crazies wouldn’t have stormed the Capitol on January 6th, and there would have been no need for massive National Guard presence. So . . . .

I’ve read that pelosi also wanted armed vehicles with machine guns present in order to keep the throng of domestic terrorizers at bay.... trump screwed the pooch by badly mishandling jan 6 but he did not cause insurrection. Much like ‘good people on both sides’, one’s interpretation depends on what flavor of news they consume.... the seeds for 6 jan were planted over a summer of looting, burning, death and destruction enabled by those who sought political advantage and would put that advantage ahead of our national well being.... if we can’t hold the ‘peaceful’ protesters responsible for the actions of the few, then we must realize the overwhelming majority of those assembling on that day were, in fact, peaceful. we should be intellectually honest and admit the percentage of lawbreakers was very low. This was an opportunity waiting to happen for those determined to use this to their advantage, from trump zealots, to BLM, to antifa, to political enemies, to Q, etc. what happened to all of the demonstrators who were going to storm all 50 state capitols at once? it was ginned up. did we see any reports of throngs forming to disrupt anything? it was ginned up this show of force from politicians who mere weeks earlier condemned the use of the same national guard they forbid to quell mob violence was/is intended to portray a threat that didn’t exist except on CNN and NPR... Designed to give momentum to an unconstitutional impeachment so as to prevent him from holding office (not to mention secret service protection, etc.). nothing more, nothing less the uniparty is deathly afraid of trump.... having said all that.... I’m still sickened by what I saw and stunned that trump totally misread the tea leaves. had he given that exit speech 2 weeks after the election the GOP holds the senate I think... having said that, justice demands that those idiots carting off federal property, causing destruction, etc. be charged with domestic terror and serve time. can’t let that shit go....

y'all can argue the level of influence Trump had in the erection. There are people who went in head first for the cause and now they feel let down by the Trumpster.
