Stacy my wife and I are interested in spending a long weekend in Broken Bow. Never been there but from what I have seen on the internet looks like a cool place to go. We want to try fishing for trout, exploring the area and hopefully hearing some music and dining out. Was very close to Broken Bow Wednesday as I just drove highway 271 (Indian Nation Turnpike) from Henrietta, OK to Paris, TX returning from a long ski trip and was amazed at the mountainous landscape and rather alpine feel so far south. If you dont mind what was your experience there?
Typical liberal ass Hollywood! Yeah sure our troops straffed and indiscriminately murdered innocent men, women and children in peaceful villages. Great scene and music though. Best movie depicting the Vietnam war was The Deer Hunter even though the war portion was not very long. Platoon was second.
Deer Hunter was long but the acting was first rate. The short Vietnam scenes captured what Vietnam was really like in my view. Platoon was good too but a lot of anti American scenes unlike The Deer Hunter.
