When he repeats the trope "deep state" he heard on his favorite wingnut stations, as though he can formulate any actual coherent description of such a thing without contradicting himself where trump is concerned. As Hurricane Ian wrecks Florida, and as DeSantis begs Biden for Federal help, let's remember that in 2013 when New York and New Jersey needed relief because of Hurricane Sandy Ron DeSantis voted NO. But Joe Biden and the Democratic Party are not that inhumane. You can count on relief aid to Florida because it's the right thing to do, and because that's one of the big reasons government is instituted among people... the general welfare. Florida deserves aid despite the fact that they have a hypocritical asshole as governor. And, by the way, using this disaster to hurl criticisms at Biden is BULLSHIT political demagoguery and assholish. To his credit, DeSantis has PRAISED Joe Biden for his Ian preparedness and cooperation, so where did this bullshit originate in the first place?

Because neither the mayor of DC nor Nancy Pelosi have the authority to turn down a NG engagement by the president. So if he was seriously concerned about safety at his rally he would have done so.
