In fact, before those tanks were even idling on the border, President Biden signed a series of executive orders that prioritized addressing climate change across all levels of government and halted all new oil and natural gas leases on public lands. The order came in January of 2021 after he canceled construction permits for the Keystone XL Pipeline on his first day in office. And, he said, it was meant “to make it official that climate change will be at the center of our national security and foreign policy.”
No, he didn't. You don't know what you're talking about. Stay away from Fox... it makes stupid people even stupider.
Oh, you don't say! You agree with a slanted right wing pro-trump trash site. How much REDUCTION in oil have we experienced because we don't have NEW leases on PUBLIC lands?
Why didn't you answer my question? How much REDUCTION in oil have we experienced because we don't have NEW leases on PUBLIC lands?
https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=MCRFPUS2&f=M the better question: has domestic oil production declined under biden? yes?
During Trumps last year we averaged 440 new lease/permits a month. Biden cut that down by 100 in his first year. And rig count is still falling as well as our overall production has slipped since Trump left office.
Of course the answer is speculation but there is evidence that not only Putin would have invaded but would have a much higher chance of success. Trump told several of his people that he was going to pull us out of NATO. That would have crippled any western response. As to whether Trump is a Russian stooge or just an idiot sucker doesn’t really matter. The end result is the same.
Why is that a better question, except that you want it to be? Production fell in 2021 because of a drop in world-wide demand due to Covid, not because of any directive by Biden. And now that pent up demand is skyrocketing, plus a Ukrainian war, the price is rising. Here's the BETTER question: How much REDUCTION in oil have we experienced because we don't have NEW leases on PUBLIC lands? You know, the one thing Biden ACTUALLY controls.
