A lot of people thought something was going to happen. This old fart knew better. Some of those Q's are crazy. Just like some of those on the left. For the most of them, their hearts seem to be in the right place but the methods and execution of the crazier components on both sides are more than slightly flawed. Those that invaded the capitol should be prosecuted, so should all those ANTIFA people, and the looters. I somehow have a feeling there will be little to no equity though. Note, notice I didn't say "there are fine people on both sides" lol

Guys: This is not difficult. The fact that the rioters last summer got a pass from media, politicians, pretty much everyone in authority has absolutely NOTHING to do with a mob of insurrectionists storming and taking the Capitol of this country by force. Linking the two is what the lefties love to rub in the right's faces . . . the term escapes me, false equivalence, maybe. My mom used to say, "two wrongs don't make a right." That is EXACTLY what people who point to the BLM riots to justify the insurrection are doing. Didn't work when I was a kid, doesn't work now.
Trump raised the specter of a stolen election from early fall. He kept raising the temperature even when the facts showed his claims wrong. As has been said people were expecting the demonstrations to change what happened in congress that day. When he sent them to the capital many thought he was asking them to do just what they did. The testimony from those arrested documents that. In addition Trump did nothing to stop the violence for hours. He just watched it on TV. He or his subordinates refused requests for support too. That’s pretty damning IMO. He’s absolutely responsible for what happened and no parsing of words can hide it.
I am sorry, but were you guys asleep when Trump won in 2016 and ignore the messaging, protest, and challenges to the election? Was that "inciteful" then? The answer is no. Not one claimed that.
Oh it has everything to do with saying they didnt "incite" yet Trump did. If one action is ok then, then it certainly was ok Jan 6th. We tore this country up over Russia gate and none one seemed to care then. By all accounts, the "riot" was justified according to those currently holding power.

Yes they did and they won’t be called on it but they should. However as @HalloweenRun said two wrongs don’t make a right. Their failure to act appropriately is no reason to excuse Trump and his supporters who inflamed the crowd on January 6
