Thanks for posting that. Nice write-up for sure. I am glad that SEC fans and even analysts/writers seem to get it. Of course, much of the negativity that we are seeing towards this game is coming from coullion fans outside of the SEC. Meh

    Both articles are good reads.

Those outside of the SEC just don't get. Spoke to my cousin, who went to Okie, and is a Boomer Sooner through and through -- he couldn't understand how the #1 and #2 teams could only play to a 6-6 tie in regulation. I told him point blank that he just does not get understand SEC football.

Would love to see video of CLM getting knocked over; he says he wants to show it to the team!

"It’s shaping up to be the Year of Les, or maybe most importantly, the year Les puts some of the antics behind him and he’s seen as the coach he is.

Then again, who else would hit the deck pregame and then search for video proof of the embarrassment."

Speaking about how Saban gets a pass for foolish decisions he made during the LSU game:

"If this were Miles, he'd be getting roasted for too much Lesticles with the Maze pass, for sheer stupidity on his first-half field-goal use and for his laissez-faire attitude leading to costly second-half penalties. This was Saban, though, so his hands stayed mostly clean.

We tend to put coaches in boxes; Saban gets to be a calculating genius while Miles is the mad genius who lucks his way into victories. Neither is totally true. Miles makes a lot of his own luck, and Saban makes his share of mistakes."

    So true.

I haven't heard many really digging into Saban for the way he managed this game. All we here is how LSU was fortunate Bama missed 4 FGs.

It's in the Advocate but I couldn't find the picture in the online edition. Funny as hell in a "Miles" way.
