I don’t see it that way ... Brady is a 29 year old kid that’s also learning ... Brady knows this job is his for the asking and will be patient to take the reins when Ensminger leaves ... We’re outside that decision circle but you glean enough from Oeaux to think that Minger is leaving after this season ...

Even if Minger stays one more season, it’s only to transition Brady into his future slot.

Brady is our future and everyone knows it.
Brady isn’t stupid and he’ll stick out the period that lets Minger ride off into the sunset... Everbody Eats ... Everybody wins

Wrong, wrong wrong. Brady is a hot commodity right now and there isn't a football coach in America who doesn't know about him and wouldn't be intrigued by what Brady could do at their school. More than one team is going to make him a hell of an offer by the end of this season. We have to be in position to give him not only the OC title but the big bump in pay that goes with the responsibility.

But will it be a Top 10 program like his present employer?

It will be whatever team who's coach feels his offense needs a new direction. Could be Notre Dame. Could be Florida. Brady is now recognized by those in the know as the latest bright young future head coach. It's just a matter of time before the NFL or a major college comes calling. Oeaux needs to be aware of this and make whatever offer he needs to make to keep him here as long as possible. It could even be (cough, cough, choke) Texas A&M with all their money and butthurt over losing Aranda and Scott Woodward to us. Oh, well, at least they beat us out for Third and Chavis.

Brady is a ways away from being a HC. Being a play-caller is one thing, running a program is an entire different animal. But I agree, we need to match an OC offer and keep him next year

I agree. I think he need another year or two in his present position. He was fortunate to walk into a job where he inherited a shit load of players at the skilled positions. One thing he hasn't had to do yet is recruit. Let's see if he can keep those 4 & 5 star offensive players coming in. O knows what he has in Brady. He's going to do whatever it takes to ensure he's happy and content.

Exactly. They’ve all benefited from each other. Brady is an improvement but I’m sure the man has his limitations just like everybody else.

Watching Rams vs Browns. They just showed the accomplishments of 33 year old Sean McVay in the 2 seasons and 2 games since being hired by the Rams. Very impressive. Then Chris Collinsworth said "The NFL has been looking for the next bright young coach." It's true that the NFL has become enamored by the idea of the next brilliant young coach. How else would you explain Kliff Kingsbury being hired by the Arizona Cardinals right after being fired by Texas Tech?

It's no stretch to imagine some desperate to win NFL owner would make Joe Brady an offer he couldn't refuse.

With the salary that we pay Aranda, even if Ensminger wants to stay, I can see us paying Brady enough to keep him here until he is ready to be OC if he is not ready yet. I will let Coach O and E and Brady decide that. They will do whatever it takes to keep Brady here.

In due time but I can’t see a scenario where he goes from offensive analyst for New Orleans to Passing Game Coordinator for LSU to NFL Head Coach in 4 short years.

McVay spent 8 years in the NFL, 3 as an OC.

But Brady is a stud. What he has done with our WR’s has been phenomenal.
