Allen West is a moron. Nobody is trying to erase history.. nobody can do that. What they're trying to erase are memorials honoring evil deeds because those should not be governmentally honored. I don't see where the author of the article, a black man, said that. Of course at the time blacks were in no way considered to be equal to whites. We all know that. It was a different time and different culture and it's stupid to hold our founding fathers responsible for not having the benefit of today's more enlightened prevailing viewpoint. The point is that black people are now as equal as anybody an in some case receive preferential treatment because of the color of their skin..
