They indeed were a part of BCS ranking before 2004 and they did nothing to stop this until 2004 when they officially backed out. They could have stopped it years earlier if they wanted to.

But once the major conferences decided to hold a championship game, polls became irrelevant except to help select the participants in the championship game. You can't be a champion if you couldn't get into the championship game.

I've not seen a school that listed it in football except the Ole Miss banner. All of them list second place which is the primary reason I said "no such thing."

Basketball, where teams can meet twice and split a series, makes sense.

'Tis interesting that I've not seen co-divisional champs in the media guide the SEC publishes...

Not really, Bama hacks... You should focus on the vacated losses of 2011 Bama's Media Guide. Undefeated in regulation.

If you're a fan of LSU or South Carolina and feel Alabama and Georgia have a scheduling advantage in the SEC? Might wanna tune in tomorrow!

By the way, LSU head football coach @LSUCoachMiles tomorrow morning on The @TimBrando Show at 9:30 central. Should be interesting!

    Yes. I shall.

I appreciate the "how to" lesson in 2007 when you so deftly coined the phrase.

Not my baby, but glad your eager to swallow the hook. Do explain the undefeated 2011 season Bama published.

I didn't swallow the hook. I saw the bait, hook, then grabbed the line and pulled. I did find it ironic your little jab had context in our series. Surely you realized?

Considering the conversation was about media guides and then seeing your comment your proverbial hook wasn't even baited properly.

    To answer your question:

The editor side in me cringed seeing it with the hopes it truly was a typo. However, considering the guy who was fired for playing the song "Take the money and run" when Cam was playing in BDS in 2010 it very well could have been a student thinking he was being funny. I don't know. If it was the later you might want to check and see where that hook is embedded.

All I could do was shake my head and think "of all the games to make a mistake on someone picked a real doozie."

    Your topic was university douchebaggery.
Like your coach, I am sure swallowing is second nature to you.

Bama never loses, they just unwin.
