Not sure who would own the tiebreaker in that scenario, but it would be ultra rare and I would love to see it happen.
Cross division opponent records is going to decide it: LSU = 5-7 Alabama = 3-7 (Tennessee still playing tonight, going into OT) Auburn = 6-6 (South Carolina still playing tonight, going into OT) MSU - 2-9 Ole Miss = 0-9 (Tennessee still playing tonight, going into OT) We need Tennessee to win this game vs South Carolina. They just came back from 14 down with less than 2 minutes to go. Edit: I think SC just fumbled the kickoff with 7 seconds left. But the refs would have to overturn the non fumble call. Stay tuned. Replay officials blew it and confirmed the call as not being a fumble.
Of course if Auburn loses at Georgia as well, then it's a 4 way tie and LSU has a great shot at having the best cross division opponent's record.
Looks like Tennessee might just win this one in OT. 4th and 25 for SC, needing a FG. They are at their 40 yard line. The kicker's long is 45 yards. Spurrier just had his kicker try a 58 yarder. Jesus. He missed, of course.
Updated cross division opponent's record: Auburn = 6-7 LSU = 5-7 Alabama = 4-7 MSU = 2-9 Ole Miss = 1-9
Not sure I have ever seen a more devastating singular play as the Treadwell fumble at the half yard line on the potential game winning TD. Treadwell breaks his leg in the process.
If Auburn loses to UGA and all 5 teams end up w 2 L's doesn't that mean Auburn wins because their SECW division record is better?
I have Auburn losing to Bama and beating Georgia in the initial scenario. But yes, if Auburn beats Bama and loses to Georgia, then they would win the West due to W-L in our division.
