    Starters:
    Morris Claiborne
    Rueben Randle
    Michael Brockers
    Bennie Logan
    Sam Montgomery
    Chris Faulk
    Josh Williford
    Russell Shepard
    Kevin Minter
    Derek Helton

    Prominent Backups:
    Michael Ford
    Barkevious Mingo
    Josh Downs

    Other Backups:
    Craig Loston
    Tahj Jones

    Limited Duty:
    Chris Davenport
    Lamin Barrow
    Josh Johns

    Left team:
    Akiem Hicks
    Carneal Ainsworth
    Chris Garrett
    Dominique Allen
    Stavion Lowe
    Drayton Calhoun

What's crazy is the wealth of potential talent that left the team.

We struck it rich with no less than 15 of these recruits. That's a very high success rate.

    2nd to Rivals, er, Alabama.

I looked at their list and it has some great top heavy hitters like Richardson and Kirkpatrick, but fails to produce the depth of talent that LSU has with theirs.

He has been a bust in comparison to the hype that surrounded his signing.

correct, but he has become a decent play maker for the first time as an LSU Tiger these past 6 games or so.

I love how this thread has turned into a bash Russell Shepard thing vs praising one of the most successful classes in college football recruiting.

Thats an amazing class. The production from early on is rare. The talent of that class is just plain sick. I hope Super Sonic comes back next year. He and Keke would make one hell of a starting DE tandem. I really like Logan, he was an under the radar kid who has turned out to be an excellent player.

As for Shep. Sure he hasnt produced like we expected. But there are a lot of factors to go along with it. The playcalling has been pathetic up until this year. They didnt at all use him right. When he ran the ball he typically did a good job providing explosiveness. His hands still havent fully come around, nor his route running. Truth is though he is looking a lot better. With all the talent at RB he isnt getting the touchess there. Add to that Randle has really stepped up so he is missing touches there. Honestly, Beckham is just plain better and deserves to be the number 2 WR. Im still a HUGE fan of Shep. The kid comes in highly touted, was underused. Now is beat out. Yet he is almost always one of biggest cheerleaders on the sideline.

Russell Shepard has been exemplary in his days at LSU. Aside from talking about an investigation with his cousin, but there are other factors to take into account other than his on-field performance. His help with recruiting, and his interviews and public speaking all make immeasurable contributions to the program. People need to remember that this guy has never played the receiver position.
