nope, i will say it again, if you would like. poor in america are rich. the poor people red mentioned had homes and cars and full fridges. poor people in actual poor countries dont have those things. they are starving. you put it on yourself by disagreeing but having zero argument. show me a counterexample. just one. mostly i am suggesting that we do a lot of whining about the state of the poor, and use this to justify bad legislation that ultimately hurts the poor. i dont believe in relative poor. the poor in america are rich compared to poor in botsawana. why would you judge poor on relative terms? humans are humans.
My friends and family are fortunate to have a support group. Most people don't. A family of 4 making less than $20,000 in the USA is poor. They have trouble affording rent and utilities and they don't have plenty to eat. A lot of bologna sandwiches with beans and rice. Nutrition is poor. The heat gets cut off a lot.
they should move to a smaller apartment. two bedrooms will be enough, the kids can share. who? where? are they skinny? again when was the last time you saw a skinny person who had not enough to eat. again, obesity, this is th problem with the poor. OBESITY, not hunger. stop pretending hunger is a problem. it isnt. obesity is a problem, a much worse problem that is killing people at maybe 10 million times the rate of hunger. sounds good. love bologna the sad truth is these folks eat at mcdonalds instead of eating cheap and healthy meals like beans and rice. beans are fantastic and very healthy, packed with protein and vitamins. nutrition is poor for most americans. has everything to do with decisions and not money. give me your food budget i can feed for you half of it and make you far healthier. this is true for almost anyone. nobody in america has any idea what to eat whatsoever. again, you shouldnt keep pretending that hunger is a problem, the poor are overnourished, not undernourished.

Poor people come in all shapes and sizes and are not limited to fat single mothers with cable tv.
Your disconnect from reality is getting worse. Come down out of your ivory tower and look around some day.
if i said that birds have wings, would i need to "justify" that statement by presenting every bird in the universe to you? you dont understand logic! if you have a counterexample that proves me wrong, go for it. try to understand how logic works. when you say i need to "justify" what do you think that means? what specifically? think.
actually it is you that have lost perspective. i think from the perspective of a human. you think from the perspective of a white first world privileged american. your "poor" friends have plenty to eat and shelter and rich friends that pay them. this is the first time in history when "poor" people are fat.
Why do y'all take the time to explain things to Martin? If you haven't figured out that he his hopeless by now then I have no words. 1. He doesn't believe in God ( I shouldn't even have to go on from there) 2. He disrespects our soldiers 3. He lives to piss people off and claims things that aren't true (spelling bee) I am embarrassed that he is a LSU fan. I will still pray for him as a Christian. That is all.
